Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock's 'Bullet Train' Now Delayed to Summer 2022
‘Deadpool’ director David Leitch is helming the project.
Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock‘s upcoming action flick Bullet Train has now been delayed.
Originally slated to release in April 2022, Sony Pictures has now pushed back its date to July, although no particular reason has been provided by the studio. The film is helmed by Deadpool director David Leitch and is based on the Japanese novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka, following five assassins who are assigned missions on the same bullet train. Unbeknownst to them, all five will have to fight against each other to obtain a suitcase full of cash, making it to the final stop of the journey.
Joining Pitt and Bullock is an all-star cast including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Andrew Koji, Michael Shannon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Joey King, Brian Tyree Henry and Benito A Martinez Ocasio.
“Brad did 95% of his physical stunts — the fighting,” said the film’s second-unit director and coordinator Greg Rementer. “He’s like a natural-born athlete. He really got in there!… Never have I ever done so many huge actors in one feature where all of them excelled at the physical movement of our training. So Brad, Brian, Michael Shannon, Hiroyuki Sonada, Andrew Koji — who was already a stud in terms of where he comes from with the show Warrior — all these actors put out some great action and did a lot of their [own] stuff.”
For those interested, Bullet Train will hit theaters July 15, 2022.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Keanu Reeves has confirmed that he has met with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.
