50 Cent has long been considered one of hip-hop‘s biggest names. However, fans have not heard a new project from Fif since the release of his 2015 The Kanan Tape. While that is the case, the rapper still seems to think that he holds one of the top ten spots in the list of greatest hip-hop artists of all time.

The artist recently took to Instagram to give fans an update on his next mixtape project. He drops an announcement that his “next album might be [his] last.” He added a friendly reminder to his peers and fans, “terrorized hip hop for 14 years, don’t believe me Nielsen, the numbers will never lie but i’m nobody’s favorite SMH Nah I’m Top 10 dead or alive and i’m not done.” The comments regarding his new album come approximately five months after he last teased his upcoming project. There has yet to be a release date for the mixtape.

Previously in an interview with The Independent, 50 Cent said that he was planning on dropping new songs in September, “I’m not gonna tell who’s on it because I’m the most exciting person [on the album].” With his track record on unreleased albums, particularly Street King Immortal, there is no telling whether or not Fifty will actually be releasing his final album soon. Street King Immortal‘s release date was delayed from 2011 to 2016 and is now expected to never be released. While 50 Cent may not have released the album, he has dropped three other projects over the span of seven years including Animal Ambition in 2014, The Kanan Tape in 2015 and Best Of in 2017.
