Bored Ape Yacht Club Surpassed Cryptopunks' Floor Price With Days Left in 2021
The flippening is upon us.
Just a week after the floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club was closing in on Cryptopunks, BAYC has officially overtaken Cryptopunks in NFT floor price at 60 ETH on OpenSea.
In a combination of winning marketing backed by celebrities, BAYC has been on an upwards trajectory growing some 35 percent in the past three months while Cryptopunk lost roughly 50 percent of its value in the last 90 days.
Cryptopunks’ total traded volume is still more than double that of BAYC. While Cryptopunks is edging back in for the top position, BAYC’s overtaking just before the year’s end is quite impressive. On top of Bored Ape fighting for the top position, its offshoot Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT is also experiencing a new ATH, increasing by 72 percent for a new floor price of 11 ETH.
