Already marking its spot in the luxury sneaker realm with its Triple-S and Track.2 silhouettes, Balenciaga is now readying the release of its latest striking sneaker creation. Dubbed the “Balenciaga Defender,” the shoe was originally unveiled during the fashion house’s red carpet-themed Spring/Summer 2022 runway show back in October.

Expected to debut in tonal beige and black colorways, the design of the shoe is centered around an extended rugged tire-like sole unit. The massive sole sections provide a sizeable amount of elevation with protruding treading all over. The upper of the shoe builds on the classic look of a trainer with a mesh material base accented by sleek dynamic overlays. Rounding up the design of the shoe is Balenciaga logo branding embossed at the tongues and heel sections.

Take an official look at the Balenciaga Defender sneaker expected to release sometime during the Spring 2022 season.
