One of the traditions between the Oregon Ducks football program and Jordan Brand is that every year Tinker Hatfield will fashion its gridiron titans a special PE. We’ve seen the legendary designer bring multiple striking colorways to fruition that include the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 7, Air Jordan 5, Air Jordan 13 and more, and now the Eugene-based institution is receiving a clean Air Jordan 8 “Oregon” PE.

Revealed by veteran sneaker reporter Nick DePaula, the shoes are jam packed with interesting details and materials. Smooth leathers, perforated leathers and suede make up the base and come color-blocked white overlays and gray underlays. Solid black accents show face on the tongues and Air Jordan-branded collar straps, while louder pops of green get added to the metallic buckles and the chenille Duck emblems on the tongues. Mudguards are also suppled with a stealthy finish but come materialized with a premium satin material. Bottom components of these AJ 8s are styled with more U of O-related colors, the outsoles of which also usher in doses of neon green.

Unfortunately these won’t be seeing a release to the public, but according to a shoe card that has also been revealed by Nick DePaula, a limited amount of pairs could be given out to friends of the program.

Previously, Jordan Brand gifted all of its signature athletes special Air Jordan 6 PEs.
