Globe-Trotter Celebrates Mickey Mouse's Anniversary With "This Bag Contains Magic" Collection
Taking it back to ‘Steamboat Willie.’
Globe-Trotter is adding the magic of Disney to its latest special edition luggage collection.
Under the name “This Bag Contains Magic,” the collection celebrates the origins of The Walt Disney Company and its iconic characters. Taking fans back to the ’20s – ’30s-era of Disney — not too far from Globe-Trotter’s founding year in 1897 — this collection looks at Mickey Mouse’s first on-screen appearance in Steamboat Willie and celebrates his upcoming birthday on November 18.
Comprised of the Carry-On (4 Wheels), Large Check-in (4 Wheels), Carry-On (2 Wheels), Large Suitcase, London Square, Messenger Case, and Storage Box (Small/Large), the offerings feature a color palette the references the iconic character with bold red, yellow, black and white. The playful character also makes an appearance in the form of a Mickey silhouette, Steamboat Willie graphic and in the vintage-inspired sticker/sketch lining. These hand-drawn illustrations come directly from Disney’s extensive archives.
