Variety has confirmed that Marvel has temporarily shut down its production for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever while actor Letitia Wright recovers from an on-set stunt injury from August.

Wright suffered from the injury over two months ago while shooting a sequence that involved a stunt rig. The injury was not initially supposed to impact the filming schedule as Ryan Coogler and the rest of the team filmed in Atlanta while Wright recovered in London. In a statement, Wright’s reps have indicated, ““Letitia has been recovering in London since September from injuries sustained on the set of Black Panther 2 and is looking forward to returning to work early 2022.” The film is originally set to release on November 11, 2022 after its delay from July 8, 2022. It is uncertain whether or not this pause in production will push the release date further back.

Production will break starting the week of Thanksgiving and is expected to start again in early 2022.

In other entertainment news, Netflix has shared the full schedule for Stranger Things day.
