Y-3 Taps adidas Terrex's Functional Expertise for FW21 Capsule
Introducing two colorways of the Y-3 TERREX SWIFT R3 GTX.
Y-3 has continued the outdoors influence from its Fall/Winter 2021 collection with a new capsule collection alongside adidas Terrex. Mixing Yohji Yamamoto’s signature aesthetic with Terrex’s technical expertise, the capsule includes two outerwear pieces and introduces the new Y-3 TERREX SWIFT R3 GTX sneaker in two colorways.
Both apparel items — the Y-3 RUGGED GTX JACKET and Y-3 MELTON GTX DOWN PARKA — feature functional materials, with the jacket incorporating a 100% recycled nylon plain weave GORE-TEX construction, while the PARKA features a GORE-TEX Melton wool, nylon and 90% goose down-filled shell. Both items also feature subtly placed Y-3 and Terrex branding, as well as pocket bags hidden within the side pockets.
GORE-TEX is once again used on the capsule’s footwear offering. The all-new Y-3 TERREX SWIFT R3 GTX is a hybrid sneaker-boot silhouette, which features a GORE-TEX lining and membrane, Continental rubber outsole and hidden neoprene gusset. The silhouette arrives in either “Vintage White/Y-3 Black/Bold Orange” or “Y-3 Black/Bold Orange.”
The Y-3 Terrex capsule is due to release on October 14, and will be available via the adidas web store and select stockists.
