New Balance's Latest 990v2 Is a Velvety Dream
Featuring silky smooth suede and ripstop nylon uppers.
While mostly outshined by the 990v3 model, New Balance debuted a new 990v2 in a midnight colorway of black and blue. The silhouette has been receiving an increasing amount of love lately as the Boston-based brand conducted its “MADE 990 Version Series” as well as a recent collaboration with WTAPS to launch a stone-cold gray design.
After multiple releases in muted singular hues, the brand released a lively “Grey/Green” rendition which is now followed up with a design that boasts a rich velvety look and feel due to the suede mudguards, heels and ankle collars in an electric blue hue. Ripstop nylon in the same shade hit the toe boxes and ankles while the black suede quarter panels highlight the “N” logos with a trim of white. The midsoles feature the standard two-toned white and gray arrangement over black rubber outsoles.
The latest New Balance 990v2 in black and blue is now available at select retailers and Sneaker Politics for $175 USD.
