TANGTANG Enlists UNDERCOVER for 10th Anniversary Graphic T-Shirts

Masato Tanno’s TANGTANG has steadily spent the last decade designing collectible graphic T-shirts rife with lighthearted imagery, frequently celebrating a love of curry and rock music, having referenced bands like Nirvana and The Beatles and worked with Japanese musicians like GOING UNDER GROUND and Ging Nang Boyz. For its 10th anniversary, the apparel label has partnered with the likeminded UNDERCOVER for a trio of special T-shirts finished with co-branding and riffs on UC’s signature motifs.
Offered in either black or white, the graphic tees feature visual motifs that nod to elements of UNDERCOVER’s brand identity, like faceless silhouettes and stark text drawn from UNDERCOVER’s heritage. This includes phrases like “NOISE,” rendered in nearly two dozen typefaces on the rear of one shirt, and “always thinking of U,” a nod to UNDERCOVER’s underlined “U” logo. “UNDERCOVER JUN TAKAHASHI FOR TANGTANG” branding and dual neck tags reinforces the collaborative theme.
All three UNDERCOVER x TANGTANG T-shirts are available on ARKNETS’ site for ¥8,800 JPY (approximately $85 USD) apiece.
This collection follows a series of quirky UNDERCOVER drops, including Pake storage bags and Medicom Toy T-shirts.
