Israel Adesanya To Challenge Light Heavyweight Champ Jan Błachowicz at UFC 259
The UFC Middleweight Champion moves up a weight division.
With UFC 257 headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier II right around the corner, the UFC is continuing to get fans excited for the fights it has planned for 2021. Dana White‘s leading mixed martial arts organization has announced the main card for UFC 259 in March.
UFC broadcasting partner, ESPN, revealed Adesanya vs. Błachowicz as the headliner for the event set to take place at a TBA location. The bout will see current UFC Middleweight Champion, Israel Adesanya, challenge Jan Błachowicz for his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Adesanya will be moving up to the 186 to 205 lb weight division for Błachowicz first title defense.
If that wasn’t enough for fans to tune in, the UFC has also scheduled Amanda Nunes vs. Megan Anderson for the Women’s Featherweight title and Petr Yan vs. Aljamain Sterling for the Bantamweight title for an absolutely stacked card.
Israel Adesanya will face Jan Błachowicz for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 259 March 6.
