Manny Pacquiao vs. Ryan García Fight Reportedly in Unexpected Preliminary Talks
“Kingry” would need to go up two weight divisions to challenge for Pacquiao’s title.

Out of nowhere, reports are now noting that a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ryan García is being explored. At 21-0 with 18 impressive KO victories, without a doubt, WBC Interim Lightweight Champion García is one of boxing’s brightest stars. But his fight against the eight-division champion and overall sports legend is really unexpected for combat sports fans.
41-year-old Manny Pacquiao has not fought since winning the WBA Welterweight title back in 2019 and there is a major weight discrepancy between him and “Kingry.” If the two were to meet in the squared circle, García would need to go up two weight divisions to challenge for Pacquiao’s title or meet at a catchweight without the title on the line.
News of the surprising preliminary talks come shortly after Conor McGregor suffered his first TKO mixed martial arts loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. For quite some time now, McGregor has been linked to a fight with Pacquiao after his super fight against Floyd Mayweather back in 2017.
Stay tuned as talks for the Manny Pacquiao vs. Ryan García fight are still in the preliminary stages.
