Apple Is Making a Limited Series About the WeWork Fiasco
Starring Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto.

Apple is reportedly developing a new limited series for its TV+ streaming service based around the rise and fall of WeWork.
Named WeCrashed, the new show is based on a similar six-part podcast from Wondery named WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork, which documents and explores the shared workspace company’s dramatic decline over recent years under the direction of its former CEO Adam Neumann. The series will star Anne Hathaway and Jared Leto, who will both also executive produce while Crazy Stupid Love‘s John Requa and Glenn Ficarra have signed on as directors.
For those unfamiliar, WeWork was founded in 2010 and offered workspace sharing services to different companies. Despite burning through more than $2 billion USD over the course of just 2018, the company was valued at $47 billion USD right before it announced plans of an IPO in 2019. Unfortunately, its IPO was cancelled after its valuation was slashed by a whopping $37 billion USD down to just $10 billion USD, and things started snowballing as Neumann stepped down as CEO shortly after, followed by massive lay-offs and rumors of cash shortages in the company.
In other entertainment news, Cloverfield is finally getting a direct sequel after 13 years.
