Official Look at the Air Jordan 5 “Anthracite”
The classic hoops silhouette welcomes in a stealthy new makeover into its lineage.

In 2020, the sneaker community witnessed a bombardment of Air Jordan 5s arrive onto the market in celebration of its 30th anniversary, and now the silhouette will be transferring over its momentum into this new year. One of its early 2021 entries includes this “Anthracite” makeover that zeroes in on applying a stealthy collection of hues.
For this take, the silhouette originally designed by Tinker Hatfield sees its titular tone employed onto its suede-textured overlays that are located on the toe tips, ankle collars and heels. From there, a solid black hue covers even more ground up top by dyeing over the synthetic materials that formulate the underlays and tongues. Further indications of contrasting hits are presented along the netted mid-foots and eyestays, both of which are colored in with “Wolf Grey”, as well as the lace toggles which are made with a see-through finish.
Transitioning on to the bottom portion, the midsoles are done up with stark black backdrops, and are neighbored by the traditional spiky forefoot mold who’s grey/black speckled detailing is reminiscent of the OG Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic”. To top everything off, Jordan Brand gives a milky finish to the outsoles of this lifestyle-ready iteration.
Expect these to drop on February 6 via Nike and select retailers for $190 USD.
