SUNNEI's 1000CHIODI Is the Dad Slipper of the Future
Injected rubber dots meet crazy heat map-inspired patterns, technical fabric, and leather.

SUNNEI is in the future and wants to take us there for Spring/Summer 2021, which introduced not just a CGI-presented collection, but also its latest shoe — the 1000CHIODI.
While SS21 “Part I” was displayed in the aforementioned CGI video, “Part II” took place in real life in Milan. Housed in an emptied swimming pool, SUNNEI’s second SS21 collection took an aquatic route by offering plenty of nods to water — with one pair of shoes, the 1000CHIODI, being a big indicator for this season’s direction.
The 1000CHIODI is made from a technical fabric and is overlayed with luxurious leather for support at the toe, side, and heel. The lightweight slipper fits your foot like a glove and comes in a number of colorways such as “Azure Print/Off White,” “Gray Print/Black,” and “Multicolor/Black.” Joining these are block colors including “Dark Green/Off White” and “Dark Green/Black,” as well as triple black and “Black/Off White.”
SUNNEI’s 1000CHIODI is also covered in injected rubber dots. These dots add a whole new level of futurism and uniquity to the shoe, and can be found on the toe, side, and at the heel. They wrap underneath the shoe to create an outsole that is both comfortable and grippy.
Rounding out the 1000CHIODI are elements such as zig-zag topstitching all-around, a tongue tag that’s branded with SUNNEI’s moniker, and a rear heel tab too.
The SUNNEI 1000CHIODI can be seen in the gallery above, while the boot-styled pair can be seen in the runway video that’s also above. Expect these to release in the coming months, just in time for the warmer weather to return.
