Pharrell and adidas Originals Prep NMD Hu "Extra Eye" Collection
Kicking off the fall slate of Hu releases in colorful style.

Pharrell and adidas Originals have debuted two new takes on the NMD Hu dubbed the “Extra Eye” collection. Although Skateboard P and the Three Stripes have mostly focused on different silhouettes as of late — think the 0 to 60 STMT, BOOST-filled slides and rough-hewn Superstars — this colorful two-pack provides a helping of new-yet-familiar style.
First up is a bright orange pair that originally launched at the digital NTWRK Festival in August. Its bold orange upper is accented by a sporty strip of yellow running around the forefoot, and it’s embellished with embroidered Chinese characters that translate to “Extra Eye.” Cream details arrive on the midfoot cage, heel, midsole bricks and outsole. A bright blue BOOST midsole serves up further sporty contrast and flecked tan/gray laces complete the creamsicle-esque look.
Next is a fall-ready that mixes two shades of gray with a flat mauve tone dubbed “Legacy Purple” by adidas. Here, “Extra Eye” is spelled out in English, burgundy surrounds the collar, bright blue is present on the sockliner and laces/heel tabs are done up in yellow. Powder blue midfoot cages and midsole bricks work with a no-frills white BOOST midsole and green outsole to finalize the style.
After the aforementioned NTWRK release of the orange pair and an Instagram teaser post from Pharrell and Quavo of the Migos, both pairs of the Pharrell x adidas Originals NMD Hu “Extra Eye” will release via the adidas webstore and the CONFIRMED app come October 2. The collection will also be available at select stockists including Dover Street Market. The MSRP for each is set at $220 USD.
