New Balance's Latest Collaboration Is the Secret To Beauty & Youth
Not really. But it does offer a great beige sneaker.
No matter how many sneakers you have in your collection, there’s always room for another pair of solid neutral kicks. Especially a pair of cushy New Balances. To help you transition to a cozy, autumnal palette, New Balance has teamed up with BEAUTY & YOUTH on a new set of warm brown and beige sneakers.
The BEAUTY & YOUTH duo offers a new take on the New Balance RC205 silhouette, a vintage long-distance running shoe first launched in 1996 under the name “COMP800.” The footwear brand recently teamed up with another Japanese brand to revive the style; in August, New Balance enlisted BEAMS to update the sneaker, resulting in a black and gray pair with mesh accents.
BEAUTY & YOUTH meanwhile has been busy this year with a slate of collaborations. The brand has teamed up with everyone from Birkenstock and Speedo for shoes and apparel, to Coleman for a set of camping gear.
New Balance has never been one to slack on collaborations, including a recent collab with Casablanca on for the 327 silhouette and a flashy take on the 997S with Bodega. But when it comes to warm and cozy fall vibes, these Beauty & Youth kicks might just be our favorite for the sweater weather season.
You can pre-order the BEAUTY & YOUTH x New Balance RC205 from United Arrows now for ¥ 12,100 JPY (approximately $114 USD) for the beige pair, and ¥ 13,970 JPY (approximately $131 USD) for the brown pair. The shoes are estimated to ship in late September, just in time to match your fall wardrobe update.
