The Morning Machine Lets You Brew Instant Coffee Like a Barista
The world’s first capsule coffee machine allowing custom settings.

If you’ve ever wanted a morning coffee with the convenience of a capsule machine but the flavor of a sophisticated home brew, you’re in luck: coffee enthusiasts Morning has now launched a crowd-funding project for its latest Morning Machine over at Kickstarter that offers the simplicity of a capsule machine but the customization of a larger coffee brewer.
Compatible with Nespresso OriginalLine capsules, the Morning Machine is sized appropriately for your kitchen table, but boats an array of innovative features not commonly found on its competitors. A built-in scale allows you to control your brew via weight instead of volume, which Morning says can provide greater accuracy, repeatability, and room for experimentation. Two thermal sensors work in tandem with a Proportional Integral Derivate controller so you can adjust temperatures perfectly to your preference, varying its levels according to the different types of coffee you’re making. Rounding out the refreshing coffee maker is a proprietary Intermittent Wave Brewing System which the company says can enhance the mouthfeel and texture of your drink. It even connects to a mobile app for you to keep track of the recipes you like, or create more to explore.
For those interested, the Morning Machine is now taking pledges over on Kickstarter, with the lowest machine-included limited bundle starting at $329 USD.
Elsewhere in the world of design, MM6 Maison Margiela has unveiled a limited edition BE@RBRICK inspired by its oversized snow globe.
