Junya Watanabe MAN and New Balance's 574 Receives Glossy "Triple Black" Makeover
Sporting a sleek polished finish.
Junya Watanabe MAN and New Balance has teamed up for a sleek take on one of the footwear label’s most classic silhouettes. Following their suede-tinged Numeric 379s and leather Pro Court Cup Sneakers, the two labels have opted for a “Triple Black” iteration of the 574 this time around.
Placed at the top of the shoe is a woven tongue tag marked with “574” and “New Balance” branding. The rest of the shoe is dominated by smooth, glossy “Triple Black” leather uppers, complemented by a set of flat laces that cover the forefoot. “eYe” is debossed at the heel counter, appearing above a rubber TPU heel support, while a textured leather “N” logo has been sewn over the sidewalls. All of these details rest over a tonal ENCAP midsole for optimal comfort and support.
Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 574 “Triple Black” will be available on September 25 on COMME des GARÇONS’ website for $250 USD.
