Junya Watanabe MAN and New Balance have teamed up for a set of suede-tinged Numeric 379s — a sleek silhouette from the footwear label’s skateboarding line — in colorways of beige, navy and black. This follows a bright yellow COMP100 the two brands unveiled back in March.
Starting at the top of the shoe is a leather tongue tag stamped with “New Balance” and “NUMERIC 379” branding, followed by a set of flat laces that cover the forefoot. Majority of the shoe’s design has been kept tonal, offering a crisp, minimal look that places an emphasis on its supple textures. Canvas appears around the collars, complemented by smooth full-grain leather along the rear quarters, while the rest of the body boasts lightly brushed suede. New Balance’s woven “N” logo at the sidewalls and a white midsole marked with “JWCdGMAN” at the heel finalizes the shoe’s understated design.
