HAVEN Debuts Handcrafted 2020 Eyewear Collection
Made with eco-friendly plant-based cellulose acetate.
Canadian retailer HAVEN has just unveiled its 2020 eyewear collection, adding yet another new lineup to its expansive in-house catalog. Like the imprint’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection from back in August, the assemblage combines modern craftsmanship with classic design.
The collection was made in Sabae, Japan, the same region eyewear manufacturer LIGHT Co. is based in. From wide hexagonal cuts to slimmer rectangular shapes, the frames of each eyewear in the range is handcrafted using plant-based cellulose acetate. Each piece in the lineup features a metallic hexagon motif at the end pieces, while its core wires are engraved with a sleek hexagonal pattern that runs beneath the outer layers of the semi-translucent temples. The Shield, with its large geometric frames, is a modern take on the U.S. military’s standard-issue “Birth Control” sunglasses. Conversely, the Coast is much slimmer, a spin on the Wayfarer that’s been tweaked with exaggerated lines and polished curves. Both silhouettes come in colorways of Black, Smoke and Amber, offering either optical or sunglass lenses.
HAVEN’s 2020 Eyewear collection is currently available on the label’s website for $371 USD.
