Gucci and The North Face Tease Upcoming Collaboration
The Italian luxury fashion house looks to outdoor exploration.
Following a premium collaboration with MM6 Maison Margiela, The North Face is back with another high-fashion partnership. this time with Gucci. While collaborative releases are nothing new for TNF — with the brand having worked with the likes of Junya Watanabe, Supreme, Hender Scheme, and Brain Dead to name a few — this will be a first for them in terms of working with such a large luxury fashion house.
In a statement reiterated to HYPEBEAST, The North Face said “Gucci and The North Face confirm that they will be bringing a collaboration to life in the coming months that celebrates the rich heritage of both brands.”
Although Gucci is not relatively known for its technical outerwear, it will be interesting to see how the luxury label will deviate from its traditional coats and jackets in wool and leather, and into The North Face’s world of outdoor recreation. Apart from the video teasers below, not much is known about the upcoming project. Nevertheless, stay tuned for more news on this collaboration in the coming weeks.
