UNITED ARROWS & SONS FW20 Blends Japanese Garments With European Details
An eclectic assemblage of loose cuts, vibrant colors and light tailoring.

UNITED ARROWS & SONS‘ Fall/Winter 2020 collection is an eclectic synthesis of traditional Japanese garments and European sartorialism. The mix is a colorful array of silhouettes with cuts that are relaxed but slightly tailored, a follow-up to the label’s largely casual SS20 lineup.
Spanning garments like a cropped light blue suit, loose cardigans, a black leather noragi, high-cut trousers, silk three-quarter-length long-sleeves and quilted vests, to mention a few, the assemblage demonstrates a contemporary approach to fine-tuning classic silhouettes without diminishing their essential characteristics.
One noteworthy piece is a denim blazer emblazoned with vibrant paint splatters. It comes with standard notched lapels and twin waist pockets, but its semi-loose shoulders and wide sleeves mirror designs of Japanese silhouettes. Another highlight is an elongated leather noragi. With a slightly extended hem, its length resembles that of a classic trench coat while its button-less design reflects a traditional Japanese look and feel. Other garments like the earth-toned slacks, black mock neck, plaid button-ups and olive hoodie round off the expansive collection.
UNITED ARROWS & SONS’ FW20 collection is slated to release between mid-September to early October. Scroll through the gallery above for an early look at the lineup — prices range from $113 – $360 USD.
