New Balance's X-Racer Trail Receives Creamy "Nimbus Cloud" Refresh
A clean colorway for the outdoor-friendly runners.
New Balance‘s outdoor-friendly X-Racer has been given a creamy “Nimbus Cloud” update, a much more minimal follow-up to the neon-clad “Black/Meadow” iteration seen last week.
While a good majority of the uppers are tonal, the shoe still maintains a dynamic look by incorporating a flurry of contrasting textures — leather, neoprene, mesh and rubber, alongside some silver-toned details. “X-RACER” is emblazoned at the top of the tongue over a bed of breathable mesh, complemented by round laces that are looped through leather and ripstop eyelets. A double-stacked “N” logo with silver-toned underlays appears over neoprene sidewalls, matching shiny “NB” branding stamped at the rubber heel counter. Other features like the abrasion-resistant mudguards, ABZORB cushioning at the midsole and a thin beige gum outsole round off the shoe’s technical design.
New Balance’s X-Racer Trail “Nimbus Cloud” is currently available on the label’s website for $144 USD.
