UGG‘s chunky CA805 sneaker is set to release in a dotted, dog-friendly “Dalmatian” makeup. Continuing a run of interesting, wide-ranging CA805 colorway inspirations that have tapped everything from heat maps to California’s Yosemite National Park, the “Dalmatian” is canine-centric in color, build and embellishment.
White fur speckled with black dots serves as the base, and is overlaid by cream-colored leather that wraps around the midfoot, heel and eyestays. Small debossed UGG hits are present on the latter duo of pieces, while printed heel and tongue tabs aid with entry and removal. Although the Dalmatian print may be the most visible accoutrement of the bunch, the most clever piece is the lace deubre: a silver dog bone. Beefy EVA foam midsoles round off the look, offering a thickly-stacked slab of comfort with cut-out detailing to knock down the weight.
The UGG CA805 “Dalmatian” is set to release via retailers like atmos on August 26, and is priced at ¥19,000 JPY (approximately $180 USD). A US release may follow in the coming weeks as well.
