Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" Surges in Popularity Following Viral Reaction Video

Originally released back in 1981, Phil Collins‘ classic “In the Air Tonight” is seeing a surge of popularity thanks to a viral video.
Last month 22-year-old twins Tim and Fred Williams of the YouTube channel TwinsthenewTrend shared their reaction to “In the Air Tonight.” Listening to the song for the very first time, the two showed their enjoyment of Collins’ iconic cut. But when the infamous drums came through, the duo really showed their enthusiasm which has now been viewed 4.3 million times.
The reaction video that has been wildly spread on social media has now introduced the “In the Air Tonight” to a whole new generation. The newfound interest has even pushed the song to hit the number two spot on Apple‘s iTunes chart.
