Lionsgate‘s CEO Jon Feltheimer has just recently confirmed new sequels in the John Wick franchise are in the works: John Wick 4 and John Wick 5.

The sequels, “Chapters 4 and 5,” will be shot next year. Feltheimer noted in a recent statement, “we’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 & 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year.” According to Chad Stahelski, who directed John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, a couple of major action sequences were edited out from the third movie but will likely find its way onto the fourth: “I’d like to think that 90 percent of what I pulled, there’s a place in John Wick 4 that I can definitely reinsert them.”

John Wick 4 is slated to premiere on May 27, 2022, while no dates have yet been confirmed for the fifth installment.

In case you missed it, a reworked John Wick Hex has landed on PlayStation 4.
