Reworked 'John Wick Hex' is Coming to PlayStation 4 Next Month
Optimized for the DualShock 4 controller.
British video game developer Bithell Games and Good Shepherd Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of John Wick Hex for PlayStation 4. Based on the action-packed assassin franchise starring Keanu Reeves, the game was originally released last October for PC via the Epic Games Store.
This version will be the first time it’s available on a console, although the team behind the title says that it’s not just simply a port: they partnered with Ant Workshop to completely rework and redesign the game so it would be optimized for Sony’s DualShock 4 controller.
For those unfamiliar, the official description of the game reads: “Created in close cooperation with the creative teams behind the films, John Wick Hex is fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a video game, capturing the series’ signature gun fu style while expanding its story universe. Players must choose every action and attack they make, while considering their immediate cost and consequences. Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies, and every fight contributes to your progress on the job and requires precise strategic thinking.”
There’s currently no official news of an Xbox One or Nintendo Switch version, but the game has already been rated for those platforms, suggesting that iterations for it could be arriving in the near future.
Elsewhere in gaming, The Last of Us Part 2 is now delayed indefinitely.
