Lagos-based festival Homecoming has revealing its plans for 2020, launching a new digital format and announcing a partnership with Browns. The Metallic Inc.-organized event will work with Browns to support a range of Nigerian labels and international brands who align with Homecoming.
The labels involved in the project include big names including Off-White™, Heron Preston, Patta and Casablanca, as well as rising stars such as Mowalola, Vivendii and Post-Imperial. The list is rounded out by 3.Paradis, Ambush, Clan, Denim Tears, Maki Oh, Motherlan, Orange Culture, Places+Faces and Tokyo James. All of these brands will be stocked in a special Homecoming selection at Browns East in London.
Alongside the curated selection of labels, Homecoming will also host community programming including panels and keynote presentations, as well as a special-edition E-zine featuring Nigerian and global creatives. Homecoming is also set to release exclusive merchandise sold via Browns, a percentage of the profits from this merchandise will be redistributed to the Nigerian creative community through small grants.
Keep an eye out for exclusive releases from the aforementioned brands when the Homecoming x Browns project begins on August 26. For more information on the collaboration, head over to the Browns site.
