42 Dugg Drops Pensive New Music Video for "Free Merey"

42 Dugg has unveiled brand new visuals for “Free Merey,” the latest single from the Detroit rapper following “Hard Times” released back in March.
The song measures at a little over the two-minute mark, set at a slow-moving tempo filled with whirling guitar riffs and a clean drum pattern. The instrumentals complement Dugg’s melodic vocals, delivering lyrics like “Label tryna tell me to switch my style / Say I’m in the hood too much and I’m too wild” and “Merey just wrote me, doggy bone, you got it / Keep making us proud or all of this sh*t don’t matter.” Accompanying the track is a video portraying Dugg in a meeting with record label executives pressuring him to sign a deal while thinking about his close friends who remain locked up.
