Thom Browne Recruits Moses Sumney for SS21 First Look
Introducing a new Beats by Dre collaboration.
Thom Browne has partnered with Moses Sumney to give a first look at its Spring/Summer 2021 collection, which will be officially revealed later this year. In the video, Sumney is seen wearing a straight floor-length white wrap skirt with a red, white and blue silk stain intarsia stripe. This piece is the only hint at what to expect from SS21 in the video.
Although details on the Thom Browne SS21 collection are scarce, the brand has revealed that the collection is inspired by the 1924 and 1936 Olympics, and particularly the balance between masculine and feminine in sport. In the video, Sumney references this influence on the collection by singing the Olympic Hymn, which is described as “an important message of our day and age.”
As well as teasing the SS21 collection, the short clip also reveals a first look at Thom Browne’s upcoming collaboration with Beats by Dre. This collaboration is due to launch later this month, and 100% of its proceeds will benefit charities.
