Rick Owens’ Maximal Runner has appeared in numerous iterations, from the flashy “Irise” pair to ones that have put the focus on the laces, and now the designer has released a burgundy pair that does it all.

Served in burgundy lamb leather, the pair has been given a bright set of blue, non-functional laces that cross over in a crazed pattern on top of the upper. The laces are anchored down with silver-toned hardware and wrap around the shoe, coming together neatly on the heel.

Rick Owens adds a signature canvas stripe on the tongue in a neutral hue, which complements the clean white-and-black sole unit that contrast’s the upper.

Take a look at Rick Owens’ Fall/Winter 2020 Maximal Runner in burgundy above, and purchase a pair on the Rick Owens website now for $1,280 USD.

In case you missed it, here are this week’s best footwear drops.
