Everything You Need to Know from the First Nintendo Direct Mini
‘Shin Megami Tensei 5,’ ‘Nocturne,’ and more.
Yesterday, Nintendo released the first of many installments of its new series, Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, offering fans updates on what’s new with the company’s partnering developers and publishers through bite-sized chunks.
Making up most of the announcements are two massive pieces of news for the Shin Megami Tensei fans out there: the fifth installment of the franchise has finally been announced, along with an HD remastered version for the third game in the series, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. The former will release globally sometime in 2021, while the latter will arrive next spring.
Aside from the two RPG titles, Nintendo also revealed other updates and new games. Hi-Rez Studio will be releasing a new title named Rogue Company, a cyberpunk-styled third-person shooter, while the wrestling fan-favorite WWE 2K Battlegrounds hits the Switch on September 18. Three new DLC packs are also coming for Cadence of Hyrule, a rhythm game based in the Zelda universe. Together, the three will bring five new characters including Impa, Aria, Shadow Link, Shadow Zelda, and Frederick, as well as 39 new songs and additional content for its story in Symphony of the Mask, allowing you to play as Skull Kid.

Elsewhere in gaming, a Twitch fan has spent over $20,000 USD of their parents’ money on donations to streamers.
The time for creation has come, follow your will and decide the world’s fate.
