Raf Simon's FW20 Campaign is a Psychedelic Trip in the Prairies
Lensed by Willy Vanderperre.
Raf Simons has unveiled its latest Fall/Winter 2020 campaign, imagined as a vivid psychedelic trip in the prairies and a departure from last year’s minimalistic FW19 campaign.
The visuals were lensed by Willy Vanderperre, colored in an array of lustrous neon-tinged hues. A series of understated black garments are shown throughout the images, contrasted against the backdrop of the golden yellow grassland. The words “SOLAR YOUTH” appears to be a recurring motif in the collection as models are seen carrying a furry accessory emblazoned with the graphic. Beyond the sleek black coats, turtlenecks and trousers, the campaign also shows transparent PVC shells worn around the upper body — a nice contrast for the opulent garments underneath.
