Blu, NugLife, Self Provoked and Vel the Wonder have collaborated on a dreamy new track titled “Sigils.” Produced by NugLife, the song spews summery poolside sounds, rich with clever lines and funk-tinged instrumentals.
The track measures at a little under the five-minute mark, doused in a buoyant mid-tempo groove that’s layered with lustrous guitar notes, relaxed basslines and crisp drums that come with a slightly retro boom-bap feel. In his usual style, Self Provoked’s bars are carried through by his enigmatic charisma, expressing sentiments about the current state of the world. Vel the Wonder follows up with a warm chorus that exudes romantic attitudes, blending seamlessly with the vibrant background melodies. Blu gets on the last verse, penning highly technical tongue twisters, offering pleasantly clever rhymes to close off the song.
