Japanese luggage label Yoshida Kaban — better known as PORTER — releases imagery for its latest collaboration with Medicom Toy. The partnership once again revolves around the beloved BE@RBRICK character and the icons around it.
The duo have co-created a set of luggage, all clad in black nylon fabric. A departure from PORTER’s ubiquitous Olive Drab and Orange colorway, the set includes a shopping bag, waist bag, and wallet. Each item features reflective piping and details across its zipper flaps, edges and seams, while a tonal “@” mark embroidered into the face of each piece. Co-branding tags are found inside announcing the partnership between Medicom and PORTER, while storage pockets and keyrings adorn each piece respectively for functionality.
The duo also have created a similarly styled 100% BE@RBRICK that features a matte black exterior and PORTER luggage label mounted on its chest.
The collaboration is to celebrate a special event that’s going on currently between PORTER and Medicom Toy in Tokyo, Japan. The PORTER Gallery 1 allows casual customers and fans of both brands to visit and learn about each label’s offerings, and the synergy the two have for each other. Further, a selection of BE@RBRICKs are available at the gallery for purchase during the event’s timeframe.
