atmos and adidas Team up for Wild ZX Alkyne "Crazy Animal"
Limited to a mere 100 pairs.

atmos and adidas Originals have joined forces for a wild new ZX Alkyne dubbed the “Crazy Animal.” In the world of footwear, atmos is the undisputed master of animal print — having used it to create some of the most well-known collaborative Air Maxes in Nike Sportswear history. Now, the Japanese retail powerhouse is applying that signature engaging-yet-effortless mix of patterns to an oft-underutilized adidas silhouette.
ZX sneakers often provide an intricate mix of overlaid panels, and this stylishly stacked build serves as a perfect canvas for atmos’s animal print experimentations. Here, the uppers are dressed in cow, leopard, cheetah and giraffe patterns, all of which are brought together by vivid tiger details on and around the eyestays. Stark white snakeskin pieces arrive towards the forefoot and midfoot for a touch of reptilian flair.
Moving to the lower half, a basketball-style midsole features a semi-translucent smoky grey shell that encases a full-foot BOOST cushioning setup. This BOOST boasts a zebra print to expand the shoe’s animal kingdom assemblage even further, while traditional white and gum outsoles complete the look.
The atmos x adidas ZX Alkyne “Crazy Animal” is limited to a scant 100 pairs, and will release exclusively via online raffle and at atmos Tokyo come July 25. The MSRP is set at ¥16,000 JPY (approximately $150 USD).
