A new Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla gameplay demo trailer was showcased during Ubisoft‘s Ubisoft Forward livestream event. The footage features several newly introduced gameplay mechanics, such as an assault on a town, a couple of boss fights, and some general exploration. The video also shows additional bonus games like drinking contests, ship sailing, fishing, and performing traditional Viking rap battles called flyting.

Players are also introduced to the central figure of the title, Viking leader Eivor, who can be played as either male or female. Eivor will be tasked with building a settlement to serve as a home base while concurring several kingdoms across England with his or her crew. Although it still looks too be utilizing the same combat system built on the bones of Odyssey and Origins, the action is much more of an emphasis in this installment, moving away from stealthy assassinations in favor of brutal kills. Unlike previous installments, health will not regenerate, and resources must be found in order to regain health.

After the presentation, Ubisoft fans were treated to a 30 minutes gameplay video narrated by Quest Director Philippe Bergeron. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla comes to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and PC on November 17. Valhalla is also coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 at a later date.

Check out the complete 30-minute gameplay walkthrough below.

In other gaming news, check out the new gameplay trailer for Watch Dogs: Legion, which also announced during yesterday’s Ubisoft Forward livestream broadcast.
