After being revealed in April and formally announced as part of Jordan Brand‘s Fall 2020 lineup in June, we now have an official look at the Air Jordan 1 “Satin Snake.” A clever twist on 2019’s popular AJ1 “Satin Black Toe” for women, the “Satin Snake” — itself a women’s style — flips a classic colorblocking scheme and uses luxurious materials for a lavish lifestyle look.

Using a familiar mix of white, red and black, the “Satin Snake” provides an Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe”-style color scheme, but swaps the mudguard and heel colors for a look that’s bright up front and stark towards the back. Masterful material machinations are provided by red satin throats and sockliners, plus black snakeskin Swooshes and heels. The rest of the upper takes from the beloved Air Jordan 1 “Chicago,” mixing smooth red and white leathers. White midsoles and red outsoles round off the look.

The Air Jordan 1 “Satin Snake” may be a women’s style, but it’ll be available in an extended size run for men as well. A release date is set for August 6 via Nike SNKRS and retailers like Foot Locker, with a MSRP of $170 USD.
