2020 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Gets Three New Heritage-Inspired Colors
Alongside a new off-road “Desert” mode.

Mercedes-Benz officially introduced several changes coming to its 2020-style G-Class series, including a new off-road “Desert” mode. The 2020 Mercedes-Benz G-Class will now come in three new heritage-inspired colors: Classic Grey, Green, and China Blue. The three exterior paintings pay tribute to previous Geländewagen colors.
The powertrain has been adjusted to allow more traction in the sand, which can be accessed by the Dynamic Select switch. The shift of the gear increases the linear feedback of the throttle and the adjustable ESP dynamic stabilization system helps increases the performance of the G-Class in the sand. Mercedes has also increased the standard equipment list of the vehicle to now include previously optional extras like a digital instrument cluster and frameless inside rear-view mirror.
Owners of the luxury off-roader can also purchase the popular Night Package, a customization option that can be selected without opting for the AMG Line and Stainless Steel Package. The new set of 20-inch twin-five-spoke alloy wheels can also be customized in a high-gloss black finish or Himalaya Grey.
The revised 2020 model Mercedes-Benz G-Class G350d is available €99,446 EUR (approximately $113,661.81 USD) and €154,309 EUR (approximately $176,367.47 USD) for the G63 in Germany.
