Be Resonant Fund to Provide 10 Black Designers With $50K USD to Start Brands
From the New York-based manufacturing company Resonance.
New York-based fashion manufacturer Resonance has announced “Be Resonant,” a fund for Black designers based in the U.S. that aims to help them with the financial costs of starting their own brand.
Be Resonant provides 10 creators with $50,000 USD each, and plans to get the designers’ brands up-and-running by August of this year. Furthermore, Resonance will fund the sustainable manufacturing of all products in order to help these brands come to fruition, and to support the brands’ long-term value.
Applications for the fund can be submitted online starting June 8. The 10 winning designers will be chosen by the end of June, and will commence work alongside Resonance and the Be Resonant fund on July 1, 2020.
