Assisted by his “Catch 23” fishing crew.
According to reports, Michael Jordan recently caught a 442.3-pound marlin at a fishing tournament in Morehead City, North Carolina.
The basketball legend made the massive haul during the second day of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament which runs until June 13. Despite the impressive pull, the massive marlin only put MJ’s team at fifth place in the tournament that has a $3.4 million USD top prize. Apparently, the top spot is currently held by a team that reeled in a 492-pound fish and the past six winners have caught fish that weighed 670.3 pounds.
Reports are also noting that MJ’s boat named “Catch 23” cost $8 million USD and his crew wear specially made Jordan Brand gear. Catch a photo of Michael Jordan and his crew with their catch below.
