Kelly Oubre Jr. and Converse Debut All Star Pro BB "Soul" Collection
High and low-cut styles with abstract graphics inspired by Oubre Jr.’s love of psychedelic rock.
Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr. and Converse have debuted a new All Star Pro BB “Soul” collection. Known for his off-court flair and unique style, Oubre Jr. has been a member of team Converse since November 2018 — and even walked the Parisian runways to debut the Pigalle x Converse All-Star Pro BB at Paris Fashion Week in June 2019 — but this marks his first official co-created product.
Across Hi and Low iterations of the All Star Pro BB, the self-proclaimed “Wave Papi” professes his love for psychedelic rock with abstract prints and vivid colors. The Hi mixes a blotchy purple palette with a flat grey hue, all while adding black trim and branding. On the other hand, the Lo keeps things light with a crisp white base and a flowing, water-like blue print that submerges the lower half of the heel and forefoot. Both of these performance-geared, modernized takes on the Chuck Taylor are brought together with a drop-in React foam footbed, fused mesh upper, synthetic seams and a translucent outsole.
Kelly Oubre Jr.’s All Star Pro BB “Soul” collection will release on the Converse webstore July 2. The Hi is priced at $140 USD, and the Low at $130 USD.
