David Lynch Shares 2002-Era Web Series 'Rabbits' to YouTube
Centered around three bizarre human-rabbit characters.
David Lynch has reeled through the archives once again. The director has kept busy during COVID-19 lockdowns by posting a flurry of videos online, like the short film Fire (Pożar) uploaded two weeks ago. This time, Lynch has shared the first episode of his web-series Rabbits on YouTube, a 2002 short about three anthropomorphic rabbits.
The episode runs at approximately 15 minutes long, and it spends its entire duration in one setting. Lensed by a static camera, the setting features a dimly lit, old-fashioned living room where the aforementioned characters interact. The episode is voiced by Scott Coffey, Laura Elena Harring and Naomi Watts, who starred in Lynch’s classic Mulholland Drive. The entire series was scored by Angelo Badalamenti and its production took place at the director’s personal home garden in Hollywood Hills.
