Channel Tres Remixes Joji's "Gimme Love"
The 88Rising star announced his new album ‘Nectar’ releases September 25.
Channel Tres connects with 88Rising star Joji for a new remix to his hit single “Gimme Love” from his upcoming album Nectar due out September 25 via 88Rising and distributed by 12Tone Music.
The original song dropped back in mid-April and showcased Joji’s rising star power through chaotic jump cuts to match the uptempo energy of the instrumentation. The emotional ending found the singer-songwriter escaping the planetary orbit as a rogue astronaut. His melodic singing was soft and heartfelt. On the Channel Tres-helmed remix, the producer (who was recently featured in our latest installment of New Gen: Spring 2020) adds a glossy finish with hypnotizing vocal filters and some new drums to transform the track into a dance record.
“I tried to make the remix soft and sensual, like something on a smooth jazz radio station that you could still use in a DJ set,” Channel Tres detailed. Meanwhile, Joji summed up the remix in one sentence. “It makes me tingly.”
