Bodega Taps Artists to Reinterpret New Balance X-Racer "All Terrain" Collab
Enlisting The Shoe Surgeon, Kumanokoido and more.
Not long ago, Bodega unveiled its new collaborative New Balance X-Racer “All Terrain” in a striking editorial, The streetwear mainstay now unpacks a selection of artist reinterpretations of the partnered shoe, enlisting the likes of The Shoe Surgeon, Kumanokoido, Jacob Rochester, and many more. A total of seven creates were invited to create an original piece using materials found on the X-Racer sneaker.
“While highlighting these individual artists has always been part of our X-Racer ‘All-Terrain’ plan, the current state of affairs has quickly turned this artistic concept into an opportunity to amplify the important work of our local communities and their global impact,” expressed Bodega in a statement.
Highlights include The Surgeon’s utilitarian touches on the X-Racer model complete with a matching tote bag, Kumanokoido’s stuffed bear plushes featuring paneling crafted from a variety of textiles, and interdisciplinary artist Jacob Rochester’s painting that features a runner wearing the exclusive, outdoor-inspired shoe.
