AETHER Enters the Sneaker Market with New Dalton High-Top
Constructed from Italian and Japanese leathers, and available in “Onyx,” “Nordic Navy” and “Duffle Green.”

AETHER may be mostly known for its technical outerwear, but now it’s entering the sneaker market with a premium high-top named the Dalton. Following up 2019’s Moto Boot and Dolomite Boot — the latter of which was made in collaboration with Fracap — the Dalton marks the beginning of a new chapter for AETHER’s footwear offerings.
Available in “Onyx,” “Nordic Navy” and “Duffle Green,” the Dalton is crafted from durable, perforated Italian leather and is lined with Japanese leather. Each shoe features a padded collar and a logo-less circular badge behind the lateral quarter. Heel overlays are made of smooth leather, and feature the shoe’s only strike of branding: a debossed AETHER text logo. Both the “Onyx” and “Nordic Navy” provide a dash of contrast with secondary colors on the top two eyelets, while the “Duffle Green” furthers its flair with earthy brown laces.
White rubber midsoles are loaded with D3O cushioning technology, a soft, flexible and shock-absorbing material that’s usually seen in moto wear. More D3O is also stuffed into the aforementioned padded collar. Contrast stitching on each midsole finalizes the look.
“Our philosophy has always been to find the best ways to marry comfort and design, and we are thrilled to now bring this approach to sneakers.” said AETHER co-founder Palmer West. “What started a year ago with the launch of our Moto Boot and the cold-weather Dolomite Boot has grown into a true brand expansion into footwear, and we hope our customers are as excited about the new shoes as we are.”
All three colorways of the AETHER Dalton are available now via the AETHER webstore, and are priced at $325 USD.
