Leaning into its legacy lifestyle standing, adidas‘s UltraBOOST has released in a serpentine “Snakeskin” style. After the Trefoil dressed everything from the ZX8000 to Jason Dill‘s Samba Decon in slithering materials this spring, this UB is aiming to kick things into high gear for the summer months ahead.
Uppers start off simple, thanks to a comfy black Primeknit build. However, the midfoot Three Stripe cage, heel clip and tongue badge are what give the shoe its moniker. Taking construction cues from the UltraBOOST S&L, each piece is built from supple leather and dressed in a sandy mix of tan and brown tones. A small logo is present on the tongue, and a debossed UltraBOOST graphic graces the lateral heel. Flecked black laces tie everything together, with a full-foot white BOOST midsole and black Continental rubber outsole completing the look.
Although the UltraBOOST line continues to race towards the top of the performance sphere with new models like the UltraBOOST 20 and the lightweight UltraBOOST SUMMER.RDY, this lifestyle-geared makeup shows its inherent versatility and enduring casual appeal. It’s available now via the atmos webstore, and is priced at ¥20,000 JPY (approximately $184 USD).
