adidas Brings it Back to 2015 with All-Red UltraBOOST "Scarlet"
Better (five years) late than never.

It may be 2020, but adidas Running‘s flagship UltraBOOST is looking back to its salad days with a “Scarlet” colorway that would certainly have been a massive hit half a decade ago. When adidas first debuted the UB in 2015, all red sneakers were at the height of their omnipotence. A craze that had been simmering before being brought to a rolling boil by the pre-adidas YEEZY version of Kanye West and his Air Yeezy 2 “Red October,” all-red sneakers had reached critical mass by the time the UltraBOOST made its retail debut. Therefore, the “Scarlet” makes for an amalgamation of two potent 2015 trends, one that’s still likely find favor today.
Every inch of the upper — from the Primeknit base layer to the plastic midfoot cage and heel clip — are awash in sweltering scarlet shades. Even the tongue’s branded hit, typically used to provide contrast, falls in line. Down below, the BOOST midsole is done up in red as well, deviating only for a black heel support shank and Continental rubber outsole with undyed white BOOST that’s visible between its flat discs.
One part hot style, one part cool comfort, the adidas UltraBOOST “Scarlet” is available via the adidas webstore now, and is priced at $180 USD.
