Following on from a first look at the latest ROKIT x Converse Chuck 70 collaboration, the sneaker has now received a closer look. Inspired by the mix of basketball and skate culture, the sneaker features a patchwork-style upper designed to reference skate spots and basketball courts in its textures.
The multi-texture upper includes both sturdy canvas and ripstops, with the black patchwork seperated by matte black taped seams. Aditionally, Converse’s All-Star logo is constructed from a hairy black fabric, and the sneakers feature the words “Los Angeles 2020, dedicated to those forever unbroken” printed below dual branding on the tongue.
Finishing off the sneaker’s design is an all-white midsole complete with rubber toe caps, a black midsole stripe and a black and white heel badge. The sneaker also features another signature ROKIT touch, with the brand’s classic bright orange dot hitting the lateral side, while a translucent outsole gives a glimpse at a print underneath.
The ROKIT x Converse Chuck 70 is set to release at select stockists including HBX on May 15.
